Under-actuated soft robots

Exploiting natural modes of vibration of a flexible body to obtain desired body motions for locomotion. Structural modes are tailored by manipulating the material distributions throughout the body. A fish example illustrates the main idea of traditional stiff complex assemblies vs. simpler monolithic flexible bodies.
